A Painting for Georgia!

This painting was for sweet Georgia's first birthday. She is one of Ezra's favorite playmates. Georgia means "seed sower" and her middle name is Grace "undeserved salvation". So the promise her mom speaks over her is that she would be a woman "sowing seeds of love and undeserved salvation". I love this! What a powerful promise over her life. I was so excited to get to do such a meaningful painting.

Cakes!

I am quite the beginner at cake making but a few friends have been kind enough to let me make cakes for their special occasions. Brave! I've had a lot of fun with it and want to learn more. So, more pics to come...

Strawberry Shortcake

Lemon Cake

Almond glaze sugar cookies

Marshmallow fondant "Tooth" Cake for Dan's graduation :)

Cookie Cake ( I broke down and bought icing tips for this, they really help!)

Birthday Cupcakes with buttercream icing

" It's A ________" party cake

Getting fondant not to crack is a fine art I have not learned!

Cupcake Toppers!!

Lindsay, bff, who owns the awesome store, Collected Thread, came up with the great idea to make cupcake toppers for Cuppies & Jo. I thought it was a cool idea but didn't think it would really come to fruition. She called me a couple of weeks later with an order! I am pretty pumped. Let me know if you want any custom orders for birthdays or other special occasions! 12 count for $4.00.

Grown Up Art!!

I recently had a friend ask me if I still did "grown up art". haha, yes I do! It just requires a little more work sometimes. I did this painting for her in college. She has since then bought a house and has it in her living room. She wants me to do three more to match the painting to go above her couch! I am pretty pumped because I love doing abstract but grown up work!

Here is some other "grown up" work!

Sailboats

I did these as a gift for Rachel's baby shower. She's having a baby boy named Cooper! They were super fun. I love painting small canvases. It is such instant gratification. I also like that these have thick sides. I'm not sure what that is called in the canvas world. :)
