"HELD"

This is a painting I got to do during worship at the Graham Cooke conference this weekend! It was my second time painting during worship and my paintbrush didn't shake which I am thankful for. :) I loved getting to worship Jesus through painting!

Taking a break!

Hey friends,

I am going on a little break from creating right so I can focus on my cute little boys I have at home.  I want to really enjoy them and give them my best during this intense season!  I'll let you all know when I am back!

I did my first birthday invitations last week.  Pretty fun!  This was for an eight year old who was having a horse back riding party!  I made some cupcake toppers for it and her mom asked me to the invites too!

Collected Thread's Two Year Anniversary!

Inside Collected Thread in the Plaza District

These headbands are super cute.

Amazing book installment that Lindsay did in her store.

Cupcake toppers for Collected Thread's Two Year Anniversary!  Go Lindsay!

The store owner herself!
Everyone says they are going to do something super cool when they get out of College but Lindsay is actually doing it!  This is her second year of owning Collected Thread, a handmade boutique where 50% of everything is made local. You rock Linds!!!

A Painting for Georgia!

This painting was for sweet Georgia's first birthday. She is one of Ezra's favorite playmates. Georgia means "seed sower" and her middle name is Grace "undeserved salvation". So the promise her mom speaks over her is that she would be a woman "sowing seeds of love and undeserved salvation". I love this! What a powerful promise over her life. I was so excited to get to do such a meaningful painting.

Cakes!

I am quite the beginner at cake making but a few friends have been kind enough to let me make cakes for their special occasions. Brave! I've had a lot of fun with it and want to learn more. So, more pics to come...

Strawberry Shortcake

Lemon Cake

Almond glaze sugar cookies

Marshmallow fondant "Tooth" Cake for Dan's graduation :)

Cookie Cake ( I broke down and bought icing tips for this, they really help!)

Birthday Cupcakes with buttercream icing

" It's A ________" party cake

Getting fondant not to crack is a fine art I have not learned!

Cupcake Toppers!!

Lindsay, bff, who owns the awesome store, Collected Thread, came up with the great idea to make cupcake toppers for Cuppies & Jo. I thought it was a cool idea but didn't think it would really come to fruition. She called me a couple of weeks later with an order! I am pretty pumped. Let me know if you want any custom orders for birthdays or other special occasions! 12 count for $4.00.

Grown Up Art!!

I recently had a friend ask me if I still did "grown up art". haha, yes I do! It just requires a little more work sometimes. I did this painting for her in college. She has since then bought a house and has it in her living room. She wants me to do three more to match the painting to go above her couch! I am pretty pumped because I love doing abstract but grown up work!

Here is some other "grown up" work!

Sailboats

I did these as a gift for Rachel's baby shower. She's having a baby boy named Cooper! They were super fun. I love painting small canvases. It is such instant gratification. I also like that these have thick sides. I'm not sure what that is called in the canvas world. :)

Painting for Mary

I love doing these simple flowers. This is such a powerful verse that Hannah said after she had prayed for a son for years and God had heard her cry. I love how God hears our cries and gives us good things! He is so good!

Vintage Love Birds

This painting was for my dear friend Patsy who is having her baby, Lola Grace, very soon! She sent me a link of her bedding which was shabby chic/ vintage. This design isn't mine. I found it online but loved recreating it as a painting!
